The Department of Homeland Security admitted this week that they have no idea where up to 1500 minors who were separated from their parents at the border between Mexico and the United States. Some of the parents have already been deported back to their home countries with no way to be contacted about their children. To make matters worse the government admitted that in most cases the sponsors that were given the children cannot be found either because they are in the country illegally themselves. The Trump administration continues to show nothing but contempt for those of color who are seeking a better life for themselves and most importantly for their kids.
The main concern of the government on this subject is to round-up and deport as many illegals as humanly possible. 200,000 million dollars was recently transferred from FEMA to Homeland Security to investigate naturalized citizens suspected of using false statements and documents to obtain citizenship status. Denaturalization has rarely been used in the past except for those accused of crimes in their home countries. 1500 missing kids is most likely a lower number than the official records show. We as a country have a system of civil rights but we have a long way to go when it comes to the rights we all deserve as human beings.
