The memorial services for Aretha Franklin and Senator John McCain on the same day once again reminded us all of our own mortality. People die every day but we don’t like to hear about it. The demise of the rich and famous always draws our attention every time. Life is where we learn new things every day and that is the job given to each individual from the moment of birth. When we work at a job we acquire skills over time that we can put on a resume to be seen by a potential employer. The more experience presented will always be a positive factor in the job market.
When someone who has passed on has an obituary written about the accomplishments of that person’s life it is really a resume that they take with them into eternity. Very few of us will have something written about our live’s unless we actually get out there and make a difference in the world we live in. Living life to the fullest is the most important job we will ever have. Our life resume will determine if anything is ever written about us post-mortem.
