A World of Walls

The world continues to change at a pace that was last seen at the end of the second world war. The mass migration of people’s from around the world continues to this day. Countries in Europe who once enjoyed the freedom of open borders between the countries of that union are now seeing  that freedom falling apart because they have a fear that can be rightly be understood that if peoples from different cultures integrate into European society it will change something that has for centuries been a right of passage. Europe is a region of the world that the Caucasian people considered sacred to the foundation of western culture that has spread around the globe to the benefit of Europe as a whole for centuries.

Now walls are being built around the borders of countries that are considered the gateway to Europe by the refugees and migrants from all parts of the globe who expect that those who once oppressed and stole the wealth from their formal colonies now have to give back some of what they owe. “The sins of the fathers are now being paid for by their children.” Building fences and walls are just a temporary solution for now. What has started will not stop until there is a true understanding and respect for all who call Earth home. A good fence does not always make a good neighbor. It may just do the opposite.
