America is a country of diverse ethnic groups whose contributions over generations have transformed this country into the undisputed leader of the free world. People from all over the world see our wealth, power and freedoms as an example of how life should be lived. The problem of race has always been a sore spot between those who call this country home, and those who want to have the opportunity to do the same. In America when the subject of racial inequality comes up people of color are usually the ones who complain. America is once again going through a period where the ethnic balance is moving over to minorities because of our because of our voting laws that state that the majority rules.
Whenever the subject of race comes up it usually has a connection with illegal immigration to this country from non-white countries. Cheap labor leads to lower prices for the masses has given Americans a false sense of security. The deportation of those who work for low wages and at the same time being rightly concerned about that possibility under the current administration’s priorities. These actions have not stopped the flow of people heading for our Southern border. The subject of race will always be a point of heated discussion in America. Those who seek refuge here must understand that fact before they decide to pursue the American dream that could become a nightmare for those who fail to achieve their goal of finding a better life for themselves.
