American Gestapo Redux

The government’s program to increase the removal of non-citizens from the United States is increasing on a daily basis especially in California. The state has decided to be the first sanctuary state which has riled the federal government in Washington D.C. The news reports of ICE agents are in some cases being compared to the Gestapo who were the police agents of the Nazi party in Germany.

The Trump administration has ordered that anyone not here legally will be deported back to their home countries no matter what the situation that the families of the individual. Their job status, home ownership, even if they are business owners. American racism came to a peak during the second world war when it rounded up its own citizens the Japanese and put them into concentration camps in the California desert.

A spokesman for ICE stated that California will be a priority state for deportation activity due to the large numbers of people who are non-citizens who live and work here. Once again people of color are becoming fearful of such things as a knock on the door or being pulled over by law enforcement. This use of force by the government will take us in the wrong direction when it comes to the subject of immigration, and those directly affected by how we enforce the laws of our country going forward.
