A Country Of Laws

The American justice system demands that in order to have the security of a free society where we can live the life that we are willing to work for and at some point achieve. To have that opportunity one must agree to follow the laws that are on the books that say who should have the opportunities of a free society.

The president said he will deport as many people as humanly possible who are living in this country as non-citizens. ICE has speeded up its program to deport those caught as collateral damage in the search for the “bad hombres” that the president said he would both jail and, deport.

There are millions of people who came to this country to escape from war, poverty, and the misery of life in what we call a third world society. They have for the most part built successful lives for themselves and their families. This is now under threat from those who are sworn to enforce the immigration laws of this country.

It has been said that those who forget the past will relive it. America locked up most of the citizens of Japanese descent during the second world war out of fear and racism. We are again going down the path of past generations who had no problems with enslaving others for their own needs. The silence from the American people on the subject of illegal immigration and those caught up in its tentacles speaks volumes about who we are and where we are as a nation which was built on the work and sweat of immigrants.
