Benjamin Franklin understood the concept of electricity well before mankind could use it to improve the lives of billions of people around the world. Thomas Edison improved on the concept of electricity by inventing the light bulb. The cities of the world could now light up people did not have to use candles, and oil lamps to pierce the darkness between dusk, and dawn.
I was surprised to learn that before 1904 electricity providers only did so at dusk because of the lack of devices that could be plugged into the electrical power grid that existed at the time. The one product that changed the game for everyone was the electric iron.
The invention of this one device that we all take for granted on a daily basis was a world changer for we now live in a world that never shuts down because of the loss of sunlight, and the fact that electronic devices for the masses were a long time coming. One person’s idea changed the world for all of mankind to benefit. Who will be the next person to step up, and change the world because of an idea. The future awaits those who are willing to take on the challenge of improving the life we are all born into.
