Contemplate this.
As I am watching a program on the slave trade from Africa to America I feel a need to comment on how race relations in our country especially between the descendants of the slave owner’s, and the people that were owned. In my life so far I have talked to many people of different ethnic backgrounds who for the most part came to this country to have a better life than where they were born. The hope of opportunities not known at home makes America a very desirable place to call your second home.
The president of the United States can call part of his heritage African. This is something I could never imagine to see in my lifetime.
