I am writing today about a book I read in high school. The book was called the Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury. The main character in the book was a man whose body from his feet to his neck was covered with tatoos. The tatoos were magical when you looked at them they moved and told stories to the viewer.
In the world we live in today a lot of people are using body illustration to make a statement about who they perceive themselves to be. Frome men in prison to gang bangers on the street. We all want to be noticed. In a world of 7 billion plus people it’s getting harder to be an individual. This new/old fad will continue to facinate the viewer of the Illustrated Man.
